Company History

Food Express was started in 1983 by Walter, Joanna and Kevin Keeney. The original core business was the transportation of bulk corn starch from Stockton CA to points in the Pacific Northwest and back hauling bakery flour to central California Points.

Over the years the business has grown from an initial 7 tractor/trailer combinations to a current total of over 185 tractors and 320 trailers.

While bakery flour and corn starch remain a very important part of our current business we have expanded into many other commodities in the Northwest including pebble lime, clay, and many chemicals for the paper manufacturing industry. We have also added liquid trans-load, super- sacking of dry product and warehousing to our Vancouver, WA location.

Along with our headquarters in Arcadia California and 5 fixed terminal locations we have equipment stationed in locations from Phoenix AZ to Seattle WA, Fresno CA, and Billings MT  This gives us a great amount of flexibility in our ability to meet the needs of bulk product shippers.
